Applying for Grants

Potential

…human life has no boundries provided it recognizes the wonderful and beautiful potentialities of the individual human being.

Eligibility

The Alden and Vada Dow Family Foundations support organizations that are tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code and are not classified as private foundations under section 509(a) of the Code. Organizations may also submit proposals through a sponsoring organization, if the sponsor has 501(c)(3) status, is not a private foundation under 509(a) and provides written authorization confirming its willingness to act as a fiscal sponsor. We do not award grants to individuals.

The Alden and Vada Dow Family Foundations will be moving to a new Grantee and Applicant experience on January 1, 2026.

The new portal will make the application process much easier.  You will have a single account to manage all funders using Blackbaud Grantmaking in one consolidated portal.  If you already use a Blackbaud product, such as Raisers Edge, you won’t need to create a secondary login, just use your Blackbaud login. If you don’t use a Blackbaud product,  you will be required to securely sign by creating a new Blackbaud ID.

We ask that you pay special attention to our deadline dates.  It is important to be aware that once the deadline passes, the system will not allow you to submit a form.

Please bookmark https://bbgm-apply.yourcausegrants.com/apply/applications to access and return to your applications and report forms and add noreply@yourcause.com to your safe senders list.

We are encouraging applicants to add all additional persons that should have access to the application and subsequent forms to enable sharing.  Be advised that your application history will be starting over in the new portal.

If you have questions please reach out to the grants team at info@avdowfamilyfoundation.org.
